Description

Letter from Prince Edward, Duke of Kent to Byng, regarding a meeting.

Inscription

Kensington Palace
November 2 = 1819
My dear Byng
In acknowledging your kind letter of yesterday?s date, I shall only say, that the Duchess and myself will be happy to see you to tea, this evening at 8 should it suit your convenience, and then, we can talk together over our mutual friend Ryland?s letter which, from his pen, cannot but be interesting. I shall then have great pleasure also, in acquainting you with our projet de champagne, for the ninth, remaining ever with

[overleaf] unalterable friendship and esteem.
My dear Byng
Yours faithfully
[different handwriting] Edward
