Description

Stone fragment, flat on one side. The flat side of the fragments has several hieroglyphics carved onto it in relief, and these hieroglyphics are painted white, red and black. At the base of the fragment a hole has been bored and into it cemented a metal spike which is now loose.

Inscription

Hieroglyphics are carved in relief on flat side of fragment. The hieroglyph for "wind" is visible.

Fragment from wall of a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The part hieroglyph for the 'wind' is visible with the sea, shown by the hieroglyph for water and the letter 'N' and a ship's sail. c. 2040 BC.

This was brought back by a soldier on 21st January 1942 after a visit organised by Lady Lampson.
