Description

Letter from the actor Paul Bedford to an unnamed recipient, regarding a bereavement.

Inscription

[top of page missing] ...should be a difficulty between you and the gentleman about the apartments. - but it must have originated from what my son Paul said at the time of my domestic bereavement - I was so Heart stricken and dpressed - I could not remain at home - and I understand he said to you - (without my sanction) that he felt assured - I should not remain long in the Home of Sorrow - however time that great solacer of Grief - has befitted me to remain - The various parties that came to view the flat were told that I should not make a change of abode for some time - as to the Gentleman in question - I never saw him or had any communication on the subject from him - But when I get a suitable residence I will leave and of course you will give Him the preference.

Yours truly

Paul Bedford
