Notes

Alan Cole
Sir John Everett Millais (1829-96) was an English painter and illustrator who was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
I believe that the addressee was Mr Robinson of Robinsons subcontractors 1828-1884, whom Millais used on a number of occasions.
