Description
According to Buddhist tradition, Siddhārtha Gautama (Buddha) lived and taught in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent sometime between the 6th and 4th centuries BC.
Over the centuries Buddhism spread throughout the Indian subcontinent and beyond. The items in the collection are from Tibet, Mongolia and possibly Northern India.
