Mayan
Description
Apart from the Isthmian script, the Mayan script, which resembles Isthmian, is the only Mesoamerican writing system outside Mexico and is presently the only Mesoamerican writing system that has been substantially deciphered. The Inca used pictures on shamanic tablets (see object in collection), but not as a form of writing system.
