Roman

Description

Writing collections would not be complete without a section on Rome, which gave us much of our language & script . There is always the contention that the Romans could have invented the quill pen in view of the importance of geese in their lives, not only for filling plates on the table. Many of the Vindolanda pens resemble quills as do other Roman bronze pens. I was lucky to obtain the two-thirds wax tablet and stylus from Munich, as most other tablets I have seen for sale have been way over my budget.
